What makes your Adirondack chairs different?
Not all Adirondack chairs are made the same. At Island Adirondacks we are passionate about quality and our chairs are all individually handcrafted in our workshop in San Remo. They are constructed using sustainably sourced Spotted Gum and galvanised screws and they are designed to be a lasting piece of outdoor furniture for your home.
Why use sustainably sourced Australian Spotted Gum?
We use Spotted Gum that is sustainably sourced from Australian plantations as we believe this is a small way we can not only support local industries and businesses, but also protect the local environment. Australia has several beautiful and durable Gum species that make excellent outdoor furniture. We prefer to use Spotted Gum as it is a durable, dense hardwood that has minimal tannin leach and is able to tolerate harsh weather conditions. Spotted Gum is UV and decay resistant and is one of the hardest and longest lasting timbers available in the world (with a Janka Rating of 11)
How is your furniture finished?
Our furniture comes pre-oiled with Linseed Oil to protect it from the weather. We strongly recommend reapplying the Linseed Oil and Turpentine mixture regularly to ensure the longevity of the furniture. The simple and quick application process is set out in our timber care instructions that we give to every customer when we deliver their furniture.
What delivery or pick-up options do you have?
LOCAL TO SAN REMO:
We offer a FREE pick-up service from our workshop in San Remo, Victoria 3925
We also offer FREE local delivery to San Remo, Newhaven, Cape Woolamai and Kilcunda.
Deliveries to Cowes, Rhyll, Ventnor, Wimbledon Heights - $30
Deliveries to Coronet Bay, Corinella, Wonthagghi and Grantville - $30
Inverloch - $50
MELBOURNE:
We offer specific prices for delivery to locations in Greater Melbourne and the Peninsula. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver interstate at this time.

What are the lead-times for an order?
As all of the furniture is made-to-order we will inform you of the precise lead-time time when you place your order.
